The 2009-2010 season of the Belgian League will be played in three stages.

First, a round Robin Phase, including all ten teams: Dexia Namur, the defending champion and winner of the Cup, Declercq Stortbeton Waregem kangoeroe-Boom, St-Katelijne Waver, Spirou Monceau Munalux Novia Namur, DBC Houthalen, Blue Cats Ieper, Point Chaud Sprimont and the new kid on the block, fresh from D2, Jeugd Gentson. Teams meet in home and away games to determine the ranking.

The ten Teams are then split into two groups: the 1st of the first phase, with the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th in Group A, 2nd with the 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th in Group B.

Finally, the top two teams from each group qualify for the Play-Offs semi-finals.
